Berries (Soft fruit): Berries are extremely fragile and require precision. Our three special berry lines use advanced AI technology to flawlessly detect damaged fruit. Our planners know that speed is crucial. If the product arrives on day 1, it can be processed and reloaded by the end of day 2. In the high season, we scale up immediately with additional staff, and our team works until your order is perfectly ready for departure.
Citrus fruits and grapes: For these fruit types, we often work with orders that we handle the same day. We guide large volumes through the process as easily as smaller ad-hoc orders.

With a close-knit core of 32 employees, 20 permanent hire workers, and a flexible layer around them, we can scale up to 200 people during peak periods. This way, we always guarantee quality, reliability, and speed.
The involvement on the floor is enormous. Every new line or process adjustment is discussed with the team. If the floor doesn't believe in it, it doesn't happen. And if our Business Unit managers see an opportunity to make the process more efficient, they're not afraid to bet on it with the team. Strict hygiene and food safety at VDH Packing
You want your premium brand fruit to arrive safely, cleanly, and fresh. Of course, the renewed location in Ridderkerk meets the strictest hygiene and quality standards. The floor temperature is divided into two zones; always 6°C for the berries and 10°C for the citrus fruits and grapes. Employees are required to wear coats, hairnets, and gloves, and washing and disinfecting hands upon entry is our standard protocol.
