The service often begins at the container terminal. VDH takes care of the transport from the quay to its own warehouses, where the next step in the process takes place. Loose loaded containers are also carefully handled and processed here. A specialty that is not always a given everywhere.
In the warehouse, the process goes beyond mere storage. Here, space is created to prepare goods for their next destination. With VDH Dry, a wide range of additional services is offered.
General cargo & small packages: Large shipments are carefully split or processed into smaller units.
Palletizing: Loose goods are carefully sorted and placed on pallets for safe onward transport.
Labeling & Repacking: Products are provided with the correct labels or repackaged into new packages that meet the specific requirements of the recipient.
Order picking: Accurately collecting goods ensures that the right shipments depart flawlessly to destinations throughout Europe.
Flexibility in warehousing and transport

Within the logistics chain, customs play an important role in the throughput time of goods. By keeping the handling in-house, control over this process is maintained and speed can be offered.
